Current Projects:
  • Currently MASKGI is trying to set up safety trials for the feasablitiy of flags (bike) mounted to kayaks.

  • MASKGI is also attending and participating in several events during the 2008, check out the paddling shows schedule.

  • MASKGI is currently seeking locations and permission to posts informational boat launch signs at public boat launches. Click here for the information to obtain a sign for your local boat launch.

  • We are in the process of redesigning our website. We will be posting information that MASKGI has gathered during educational presentations and debates on radar trial, cold water immersion, hypothermia and prevention, navigation, lost person, guide licensing, other legislative issues. and much more.

  • We have be working on getting the Maine sea kayak guiding industry to become classified as "seasonal".
  • MASKGI is working with U.S. Boating Safety Foundation on establishing locations for Life Jacket Loaner Programs.
  • Promoting outfitter member's instructional programs and safety training.
