       Public Boat Launch Signs

MASKGI has developed an educational sign for posting at public boat launches to educate paddlers on boating etiquette, care for the environment, and safety. These signs are available in either plastic or aluminum. Harbormasters: If you attended the Harbormasters Meeting in Castine on March 20, 2008, these are the signs that Al Johnson of the Coast Guard presented to you. If you would like to have a sign posted at your local boat launch, please let us know.

Ted Leavitt will be tracking where the signs are placed and contact information for each sign so we ask that MASKGI members placing sign are responsible to contact town selectmen, harbormaster, bureau of parks & recreation, or other required contacts. We also ask that you please provide town conatct person's name and number for sign maintenance purposes. A digital photo would also be helpful. Scott Shea has signs for folks for Midcoast Maine to Southern Maine and David Legere has signs for Downeast Maine. Please make arrangements with either Scott or Dave to get signs to post in your area. Plastic washers and stainless hardware recommended. Please keep your receipts for any reimbursable expense that incurr and forward to the Treasurer.
