Professional Standards
The Maine Association of Sea Kayak Guides and Instructors (MASKGI) is a non-profit organization of sea kayak outfitters, guides and instructors who embrace the highest of professional business practices and conduct. You can view and download the MASKGI Code of Ethics here.
Our members are expected to follow Standards regarding Ethics, Safety, and Leave No Trace. You may read our guidelines for these standards on the following pages:

MASKGI Guides worked with others in the industry to conduct a set of trials to determine how visible sea kayaks are to shipboard radar. Read the sobering results in the Radar Trial Report.
